Why Costa Rica?
Conveniently close and accessible

Whether coming from the United States, Canada or Europe, flying to Costa Rica has never been easier! Visitors can reach here in only 2.5 hours from Miami and five hours from Toronto. Costa Rica’s two international airports serve 15 foreign airlines and an estimated 378 flights per week at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and 53 at Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR).

During the past two years, Costa Rica has been selected, more frequently by numerous tourism industry leaders and by recognized international publications as the best destination for adventure, sports and honeymoons.

Exceptional value and selection

Costa Rica has an excellent range of services and infrastructure, from five-star resorts to one-of-a-kind boutique hotels, creative incentive travel operators (DMC’s) with extensive experience, the ultimate in luxury transportation, multilingual guides, venues for themed events and gourmet cuisine.

A destination with a proven track record

When choosing Costa Rica, you can be sure that you have selected a destination with experience in organizing, planning, marketing and successfully realizing your event. Whether an incentive activity or a conference of senior executives, our expert DMC’s, hotels and attractions have more than a decade of experience in the execution of first-rate events.

Many options…

As a destination, Costa Rica offers a wide range of activities, including natural experiences like walks through the national parks, volcanoes and reserves; floating in the rapids of a river, canoeing, or enjoying the therapeutic effects of hot springs. Other options of interest include learning about the farming, milling and preparation of coffee, visiting gardens to enjoy an amazing variety of butterflies, playing golf on a modern first-class course, or simply daring to soak up the energizing effects of the tropical sun. After busy or a restful day, you can finish it off with a delicious dinner under the stars to the rhythms of calypso.

Deductions for u.s taxpayers

Costa Rica holds a privileged status for meetings organized by U.S. companies. Under section 274 (h) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States and Internal Revenue Service decision 94-56, section 274 (h)(6), Costa Rica is considered to be part of the “North American Area” and individuals attending conventions, seminars or conferences and the like in Costa Rica can claim deductions for expenses incurred at those events. They receive the same consideration for deductions as if the event were held in the United States.

Reliability and security

Costa Ricans have formed a democratic and peaceful society (the oldest in Latin America), which includes social security and health care benefits and a high literacy rate, factors that you will see reflected in the hospitality and customer service that their guests receive.

It is said that the largest uniformed group in Costa Rica consists of the thousands of children and young students in the public schools.
